The governing New Patriotic Party is confident President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will secure a second-term victory in this year’s general election.
The party believes, with the good work done by the President and the government since 2017, Ghanaians will not hesitate to reward him with a second term ‘thank you’ victory.
The NPP National Organiser, Sammi Awuku, expressed this optimism during a campaign tour with the party’s parliamentary candidate for Obom Domeabra constituency, Philip Edem Kobla Doe.
The team embarked on door-to-door campaign and community engagements with identifiable groups within the constituency, touting President Akufo-Addo’s good works to the electorate.
“It was refreshing to see and hear the transformational stories and testimonies of how Nana Akufo-Addo’s policies have positively impacted on the lives of many in the constituency…We are confident of an NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo victory come December 7, 2020”, Mr Awuku said.
Advice to youth
Meanwhile, the NPP National Organiser has advised the youth not to allow themselves to be used as “pawns” in the hands of politicians to cause mayhem in this year’s general election.
According to him, the youth should be smart enough to appreciate the fact that should they allow themselves to be remote-controlled by politicians to achieve their parochial interest, they (politicians) will not be available when they (the youth) fall foul of the law and need their support in critical times.
He also advised them to vote massively for the Akufo-Addo government to achieve more for Ghanaians.
