The Convention People’s Party (CPP), led by presidential candidate Nana Frimpomaa, has unveiled a transformative policy document known as the “Women’s Manifesto”. This manifesto is designed to radically change Ghana’s economic, social, and political landscape, recognizing and acknowledging women’s hard work, dedication, and resilience.
The CPP’s “Women’s Manifesto” outlines a clear path to eradicating poverty, empowering Ghanaians, and making Ghana truly the property of its people, not foreign interests. The manifesto is built around five key pillars:
– Eradication of Poverty: The CPP’s flagship policy promises to phase out traditional farming methods by introducing AgroSure, an initiative aimed at modernizing agriculture.
– GhanaBa Shares: A groundbreaking program that will provide 20 million Ghanaians with a GH₵20,000 stake, encouraging collective ownership and economic empowerment.
– Government at Your Doorstep: The introduction of 40,000 Government-at-Your-Doorstep Centres at every polling station, facilitating direct communication between citizens and government.
– Disability Quota: Reserving one seat at each center for people with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities.
– Free Education: Nana Frimpomaa’s manifesto promises free education for all children up to the university level, addressing high student dropout rates and the struggle for access to tertiary education.
The launch of the Women’s Manifesto marks a bold and unprecedented step in Ghana’s political evolution, as Nana Frimpomaa and the CPP seek to reshape the country’s future through economic empowerment, inclusive governance, and a strong commitment to the welfare of all Ghanaians.
In a bold statement, Nana Frimpomaa declared that the CPP would demand the return of all assets acquired by the party under Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, referring specifically to properties scattered across the country that belong to the Ghanaian people. “It is a demand, not a plea,” Nana Frimpomaa stated.
The event was graced by key political figures, including Comrade Kwame Nkrumah Botoe, CPP General Secretary, Comrade Hajia Hamdatu, the Women’s Organizer Comrade Felicia, and Dr. Asiseh, an Independent presidential candidate who, along with his running mate and members, dropped their candidacy to support Nana Frimpomaa’s bid for the presidency.
