The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TaMA) has handed a three-unit classroom block and an office complex to the management of the Bethany Primary School in Tamale.
The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tamale, Iddrisu Musah Superior, commissioning the project at a short ceremony, noted that the project forms part of President Akufo-Addo’s determination and vision to expand infrastructure and improve access to education at the basic level in all corners of the country.
No child behind
Mr Musah Superior said the agenda of the NPP government is to educate every young person in Ghana to scale up growth and development in the country.
“And if you are offering Free SHS, then you should make sure that the basic level is correct. You need to provide infrastructure so that people can be encouraged to do basic education and have the opportunity to go for senior high school,” he said.
Mr Iddrissu commended the management of the school for their cooperation, and urged them to take good care of the project to enable it stand the test of time.
The Headmistress of the School, Juliana Bawa Akami, on behalf of the school, thanked the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly and the NPP government for the school block.
She also appealed to the Assembly to provide the school with furniture.
