Former Member of Parliament for Dormaa East, Paul A. Twum Barimah, has expressed deep sorrow following the passing of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, Founder and Overseer of the Kristo Asafo Mission.
In a heartfelt tribute posted on his Facebookpage on Monday, September 15, 2025, Mr. Twum Barimah described Apostle Safo as a rare visionary whose innovative spirit and philanthropy left a lasting impact on countless lives across the country.
“I have received with profound sadness, the passing of the Founder and Overseer of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. His innovative and philanthropic ingenuity cannot be overemphasized. He impacted several lives across the country through his church and profession,” he wrote.
The former lawmaker hailed the late Apostle as the “Star of Africa,” emphasizing his role as a trailblazer in modern African innovation. Apostle Safo’s legacy, he noted, extended far beyond the pulpit, shaping both the technological and spiritual landscapes of Ghana.
Mr. Twum Barimah conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and the Kristo Asafo Mission, urging them to take comfort in the extraordinary life and achievements of their patriarch.
“May the soul of the great Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka rest in peace,” he added.
