The Kwame Nkrumah Senior High School Old Students Association (KNOSA) has officially ushered in a new era of leadership with the inauguration of its newly elected Global Executives, marking a renewed commitment to unity, progress, and institutional development.
The colourful ceremony, held on Saturday, 8th November 2025, in Accra, brought together a distinguished gathering of alumni from various year groups, current students, former executive members, and members of the clergy. The event symbolized a peaceful transition of leadership and a shared vision for a stronger alumni fraternity dedicated to supporting their alma mater.
In his inaugural address, the newly elected Global President, Noble Ambassador Jonathan Bartels Kodwo, reaffirmed the executives’ determination to revolutionize the association’s operations and strengthen its impact on both members and the school community.
“As your newly elected executives, our ambition and vision are to continue the good work done by our predecessors,” he said.
“We shall aspire to contribute our quota to elevate our school into a citadel of educational excellence—promoting academic prowess, cultural richness, ethical leadership, and community engagement,” he added.
Under his leadership, the new executives have outlined a comprehensive agenda anchored on infrastructure development, resource mobilization, and strategic partnerships aimed at transforming the physical and academic outlook of the school.
Ambassador Bartels Kodwo explained that the association would work closely with school authorities to assess infrastructural needs and mobilize funds to execute priority projects.
“In consultation with the school authorities, we shall examine all infrastructural needs of the school and mobilize resources accordingly. Priority will be given to the renovation of existing school buildings,” he noted.
He further disclosed plans to engage key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), to secure financial support for major capital projects.
“We will lobby the Ministry of Education and GETFund to provide funding for key infrastructural projects that require heavy financial investment,” he stated, adding that each year group will be encouraged to adopt and complete a project—regardless of size—to help bridge the infrastructural gap on campus.
The inauguration also emphasized KNOSA’s renewed drive to enhance alumni engagement and foster mentorship, welfare, and professional networking among members worldwide. Over the next two years, the new leadership is expected to spearhead innovative programmes, intensify resource mobilization, and support student-focused initiatives to uplift the image and legacy of Kwame Nkrumah Senior High School.
The newly inaugurated KNOSA Global Executive Team is composed of Noble Ambassador Jonathan Bartels Kodwo, who serves as President, and Noble Dr. George Sipa Yankey, who assumes the position of Vice President.
The role of Secretary is held by Noble Papa Newton, while Noble Daniel Wilson takes charge as the Financial Secretary. Noble Terence Tandoh serves as the Treasurer, with Noble Joseph Martin Mould appointed as the Organizer and Publicity Officer. The position of Welfare Officer is held by Noble Emilia Adjei.
