Perpetual Ekuah Lomokie Akwada
Perpetual Ekuah Lomokie Akwada, a former Deputy National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has picked up nomination forms to contest for the position of National Women’s Organiser at the party’s national delegates conference, scheduled for 3 October 2026 in Kumasi.
The forms were picked up on her behalf by some party supporters and friends, marking a significant step in her bid to become the NPP’s next National Women’s Organiser.
Ms Akwada is also the founding president of the Loyal Ladies, a vibrant women’s group within the party. Her campaign is anchored in loyalty to the NPP, commitment to its ideals, fresh energy and competent leadership.
She also presents herself as a role model for young women and a bridge between the younger and older generations of the party.
Ms Akwada is believed to be the first woman to have served as a Deputy National Youth Organiser of a major political party in Ghana. A former student leader, she brings to the contest experience in student leadership, political mobilisation and corporate management.
Her campaign team describes her as an experienced leader who has demonstrated commitment, discipline and dedication to the party. According to the team, she listens to the grassroots, supports party members across the constituencies and is always ready to mobilise and work on the ground.
