New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates in the Bosomtwe Constituency on Saturday unanimously approved Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum’s bid to represent them in Parliament for the third time through a popular acclamation.
The event, supervised by the Bosomtwe district officer of the Electoral Commission (EC), Ernestina Owusu-Banahene, saw over one thousand delegates shouting “yes” when the question was asked by the officer during the extraordinary delegate’s conference.
The acclamation was a result of the fact that Dr. Adutwum happened to be the sole candidate who successfully filed to contest as the NPP’s Parliamentary candidate for the constituency after the close of the stipulated period by the Electoral Commission.
