A Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA) and NPP parliamentary hopeful in the Adentan constituency, Akosua Manu, has assured party members that she will make sure the party reclaims its seat to regain full majority control in 2024.
She said this at the NPP Adentan constituency office yesterday after submitting her completed nomination forms.
The Constituency Secretary, Cobby Bediako, on behalf of the executives, received the forms, assuring her fair playing field for the contest.
Madam Akosua Manu, who is affectionately called Kozie, promised to use her sterling leadership and experience to unite the party, especially at the constituency level, and mobilise grassroots members to win back the NPP seat as well as help break the eight years governance cycle.
Unity
Emphasizing the importance of unity and effective representation for her constituents, she assured to prioritize their concerns and work towards their empowerment, not only at the constituency level but also on a national scale.
Kozie further expressed her passion for uplifting the community and transforming it into a model constituency. She highlighted the need for collaboration between government agencies, civil society organisations, and the private sector to drive sustainable development and create opportunities for the youth.
“As Deputy CEO of NYA, I have witnessed first-hand the struggles faced by our youth. I am determined to address the issues of unemployment, skills training, and education to provide them with the tools they need to succeed. Adentan deserves a representative who will fight tirelessly for their needs and aspirations. I promise to be that voice,” she stated.
Acknowledging the importance of party unity, Madam Manu called for NPP members in Adentan to rally behind her candidacy, stressing the significance of a cohesive front in securing victory.
She intends to leverage her position within the party and engage with party executives and stakeholders to strengthen the grassroots mobilization efforts.
Appeal
She, therefore, called on party members in the constituency and all party sympathisers to rally behind his candidature.
She also emphasised that the NPP as a party will be in power from 2024 to bring the needed development to the good people of Ghana.
“How can we sit here and say we do not have an MP on the ticket of NPP in Adentan constituency? We need that seat back in 2024 and we will do all within our means to win it,” she said.
