Mr. Ampem-Darko, the NPP-USA Deputy Communications Director and a native of the Western North Region, has made a significant contribution to the campaigns of the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidates in the Juaboso, Bodi, and Wiawso constituencies.
The donation, valued at over GHS 300,000, included campaign logistics and an undisclosed amount of cash. The handover ceremony, held at the Juaboso party office, was a vibrant event attended by enthusiastic party faithful.
Previous contribution
Mr. Ampem-Darko’s unwavering support for the NPP in the Western North Region is well-documented. In 2016, his contributions to the Akontombra constituency included campaign logistics and cash, which played a pivotal role in the party’s historic victory that saw Alex Tetteh elected as MP. During the 2020 elections, he donated 10 motorbikes, 2,000 T-shirts, four vehicles—including a branded Mercedes Sprinter bus—to support the Western North Regional campaign.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ampem-Darko reiterated his commitment to ensuring an NPP victory in the 2024 elections.
“My goal is to see Dr. Bawumia win the 2024 election and Dr. Alex Ampaabeng, Mr. Nicholas Andoh, and Mr. Festus Bumakama Agyapong emerge as Members of Parliament on December 7th. This will enable the NPP government to continue its legacy and implement the Bold Solutions agenda for generational development in Ghana,” he stated.
Gratitude
Dr. Alex Ampaabeng, speaking on behalf of the parliamentary candidates, expressed profound gratitude to Mr. Ampem-Darko and the NPP-USA team for their timely support. He assured attendees of a resounding NPP victory in December, with Dr. Bawumia as President and all the parliamentary candidates securing their respective seats.
Mr. Ampem-Darko was accompanied by prominent NPP-USA members, including Madam Obaa Yaa Frimpong (Chairperson), Mr. James Owusu (1st Vice Chairman), Dr. Akwasi Acheampong (Bawumia Diaspora Campaign Chairman), Mr. Seth Gyamfi (Michigan Chapter Chairman), Mr. Emmanuel Mensah (Deputy Secretary), and Mr. Fish (Global Medical Coordinator).
Mr. Aboagye Gyedu, CEO of VALCO and former Western North Regional Minister and MP for Bibiani-Anwiaso-Bekwai, also made a cash donation to the three parliamentary candidates to further bolster their campaigns.
