An Ashanti regional chairman hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has congratulated the newly elected constituency executives for their victory, with a call on them to bring all members to the table to break the eight-year governance cycle and sustain power beyond 2024.
He noted that it is time for those who won to reach out to those who lost, and help bring them on board to form a united front
“Congratulations to all newly elected polling station and constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), especially those in Ashanti region. The party has won. Let us reach out to each other to see how we can work together as one family. Let us rise and build together to make breaking the 8-year political cycle a reality,” he said in a statement.
Mr Odeneho Appiah further indicated that the 2024 general election is going to be keenly contested, and admonished all NPP members on the need to bring everyone on board to secure victory in the elections.
Unity
He particularly urged the Ashanti Region to lead the unity talks to position the party in readiness for 2024 elections.
“All party members are aware of the role the Ashanti region plays in our beloved party particularly, in general elections. Indeed, Ashanti region is the heartbeat of the New Patriotic Party. It contributes at least 20 percent of votes to the Party in national elections. It is due to this that Ashanti region must not disappoint. It must get it right,” he stated.
He assured all party loyalist, especially those in the Ashanti Region, of his intentions to ensure that the party emerges from these ongoing internal elections stronger and well positioned to win the next general elections.
“I am confident that at the end of all the elections at various levels, the best men and women will be elected to steer the affairs of party for the next four years. l pray and suggest that those who did not win their positions should take it in good faith. They should give full support to their counterparts who emerged victorious. Let’s remember that the ultimate winner is and should be the Party and, not any individual,” he maintained
