Ramseyer Ahmed Agyeman-Prempeh
A group calling itself ‘Concerned Patriots of NPP’ has urged the delegates to choose aspirants who have the relevant knowledge, experience and and commitment to the welfare of Party members.
The group said per their assessment of all the aspirants, Ramseyer Ahmed-Agyeman-Prempeh, is the ideal candidate for the General Secretary slot due to his background in Public Administration and relevant experience as the former Tema East constituency chairman.
“Let us choose kind-hearted individuals but not rich candidates. We have carefully assessed all the aspirants, and found Ramseyer Ahmed-Agyeman-Prempeh is most suitable candidate for the General Secretary,” the group said in a release.
The group also stressed the need for the NPP to elect national executives who will lead the party to ‘break the 8′ years’ governance cycle.
“We need leaders who will facilitate sincere reconciliation between the party and all aggrieved members to reduce voter apathy in 2024. We need leaders who will empower and motivate regional and constituency executives to increase efforts to build strong administrative structures at the polling station or grassroots level. Leaders to improve Research and Communications to make our Party appealing to first-time voters and floating voters.
“We need leaders to build the capacity of the Special Wings of the Party, such as the Women’s Wing, Youth Wing/ TESCON, Nasara Wing and the External Branches to increase Voter preference for NPP. Leaders to make national office-holders accessible and accountable to NPP members and sympathisers, and leaders to establish the Dombo-Danquah-Busia Institute of Governance to promote good governance and training of polling agents,” the group added.
