Fafali Organization awarded some standout performers in its programmes in the 2022 year under review at its Dreams & Themes End-of-Year Party on December 18, 2022, at Kappa 7 Astroturf in the Kissehman community.
There were about 15 individuals awarded on the night for their outstanding achievements in the year under review. The awardees took home prizes related to their field of operation. Golfers took golf clubs and other materials, and Footballers took glass trophies and jerseys among others.
The CEO of the Fafali Organization, Senyo Sosu, explained what went into putting together such a ceremony to celebrate the most outstanding children in their programmes and the aim behind it.
“We realized how exceptional children were performing in our various programs this year as compared to the years before and to be able to sustain such output, it is only laudable to keep them motivated, hence, our decision to come up with an award scheme to reward them,” Senyo Sosu said.
“To be able to select the best from the rest, we tasked all program coordinators to give us the categories they would like to reward and the nominees, and today has been a testament to the hard work we put in to making this dream a reality for our children,” he added.

Criteria & Awardees
At Fafali’s Dreams & Themes End-of-Year Party, awards were presented to these outstanding children in the various projects. Awards take into account an individual’s achievement from January to December of the said year.
The coordinators of the various projects outlined the criterion based on which the awards were presented.
Ball & Brain Project
Randy Edem Amezado, the Coordinator and Senior Coach of the Fafali Ball & Brain project explained the criteria upon which winners in the various categories were awarded as these were “some of the toughest decisions to make”.
(Best Players)
“The criteria of choosing an awardee for a specific age group team (U11-U17) is based on an individual’s punctuality, self-development, and the performance they put up in a team task per game or match,” Randy said.
- Under 8 – Nathaniel Leletor
- Under 11 – Carlson Daniel
- Under 13 – Bright Anane
- Under 15 – Gideon Afemakor
- Under 17 – Dogbe Morris
(Best Goalkeeper)
Randy also mentioned how this category was one of the most difficult to select but “the best goalkeeper award is given to the keeper that has conceded less goals and has also made great saves in games to prove their personal development throughout the year under review. This Award is narrowed to putting all the goalkeepers in one group (that is from u11-u17)”.
- Dickson Norvinyo (De Gea)
(Most Disciplined Player)
- Alhassan Sabah
(Goal King)
Randy confirmed that “Morris netted 17 times in 13 games.” The goal king award is the simplest of all where all players are assessed by goal-scoring stats and the award goes to the player with the most goals.
- Dogbe Morris
Fit4Fun Project
Ute Katharina Droege, the Coordinator for the Fit4Fun project revealed the criteria upon which awardees were selected.
“For the Fit4Fun project, two awards were given at the End-Of-Year Party. One for the best female runner and one for the best male runner of the group. The criteria was a sprinting test during their training. On that basis, the awards were given to Diana (14 years) and Mateen (14 years)” Katharina said. She also added that “because of lack of time these two were the only kids who were given an award. For the next time, we want to differentiate between the younger and older ones to create a fairer award session”
- Best Male Runner – Mateen
- Best Female Runner – Diana
Golf & Goal Project
Coordinator of the Fafali Golf & Goal project, David Aryeetey, noted that “winners for the various categories were selected based on discipline during training, punctuality, competitions each individual participated in and excelled, as well as how quickly each person advanced to the next level of growth”.
(Overall Best Golfer)

Afi participated in major tournaments at the Achimota Golf Course and other Golf Courses across the country and stood out. She competed in the Achimota Golf Course Monthly Medal Tournaments and came out victorious in the Ladies Division A category, Afi was invited by R&A to participate in The Junior Golf Championship, 2022.
