An aspiring National Women Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Sawudatu Saeed, has promised to provide monthly allowances to the party’s women organisers to improve their living standards.
She intends to do this by establishing ‘Women’s Wing Welfare Fund’, which will also offer scholarships for their children, introduce awards scheme for hardworking, committed and result oriented organisers, and cater for children of deceased women organisers.
“I will also empower the young women for fair job distribution. I would make the welfare of women an integral part of my administration to improve the electoral fortunes of the party,” she said in a statement after filing her nomination.
Hajia Saeed, who is currently the Deputy National Women’s Organiser of the party, reiterated her resolve to unite the party towards breaking the eight years’ governance cycle.
She said she would offer vibrant, dynamic and all-inclusive leadership to engage the regional, constituency and polling station women organisers, recognise their efforts, and reward them accordingly. She added that she would also put in place effective measures for resource mobilization, and ensure a fair distribution of same.
“I will always strive to be honest, reliable and trustworthy and a companion to everyone. I will always be a unifier and avoid deliberate decisions or actions which may either, directly or indirectly, cause harm to others’ lives, image, emotions or relationships,” she stated.
“My dear patriotic women, I humbly seek your mandate to work harder together with you for the betterment of the women’s wing, and to break the historic eight as women’s organisers,” Hajia Saeed appealed.
