Lawrence Kwesi Botchway Jnr., a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communication Team, has described the accusations leveled by Hopeson Adorye, Campaign Operations Director for Alan Kyeremanten, against Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Opare, as “baseless and unfounded”.
In an interview, Kwesi Botchway Jnr. contended that Akosua Frema Opare, the Chief of Staff, is a dedicated individual who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to President Akufo-Addo’s administration.
Speaking in defense of Madam Opare, he challenged the validity of Hopeson Adorye’s claims, asserting that they do not align with the Chief of Staff’s character and service record.
Allegations
Hopeson Adorye had earlier alleged that Akosua Frema Opare distributed money to delegates at the New Patriotic Party Headquarters.
Addressing reporters on Saturday, August 26, 2023, Mr Adorye emphasised that certain voters leaned in particular directions out of concern for retaining their employment. He argued that seasoned government officials, including elderly individuals, sought to secure their positions.
