The Executive Director of Kandifo Institute, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, has obtained an Executive Masters of Arts degree in Conflict, Peace, and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping and Training Centre.
The graduation now positions him as a security expert who can do consultancy for the government and other international organisations.
“I can do consultancy for the government and other relevant institutions, including the United Nations and the ECOWAS, on security issues,” Mr Boakye-Danquah who could not conceal his excitement said.
He was part of the 9th Joint Graduation ceremony held last Friday at the Burma Hall of the Burma Camp, graduating with some dignitaries, including the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George.
Also, 140 students from seven African countries, namely Cameroun, Chad, Gambia, Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, and Uganda, graduated with certificates in various peace and security related programmes including Gender, Peace and Security.
The event was under the theme “Providing Skills to Meet Business and Human Security Needs in Uncertain Times.”
The miracle
He told the Daily Statesman that prior to his graduation, he had contracted the COVID-19 virus, which caused him to be in the intensive care ward for 21 days.
Mr Boakye-Danquah further revealed that by divine intervention, he was discharged days before the graduation ceremony.
“I tested negative on January 24, which means I’ve fully recovered and built antigens. To come out and to graduate is amazing,” the Executive Founder of Kandifo Institute said.
