NPP Flagbearer hopeful and former Member of Parliament, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, has expressed profound sadness over the death of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, describing him as a “true titan of Ghanaian innovation and a visionary leader.”
In a heartfelt tribute shared on X page on Monday, September 15, 2025, Hon. Agyapong hailed Apostle Safo as “one of the greatest industrial pioneers this nation has ever known,” noting the enduring impact of his work on Ghana’s industrial and technological landscape.
“I have always believed profoundly in his work and had hoped our nation could provide the strategic support necessary to propel his inventions onto the global stage,” Hon. Agyapong said. He reflected on the missed opportunities to fully leverage Apostle Safo’s innovations but emphasized that the monumental legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire generations.
Hon. Agyapong described Apostle Safo’s life as a testament to Ghanaian ingenuity. “His life work proved a powerful truth: that the Ghanaian is capable of achieving anything. He shattered any lingering doubts about our ability to innovate, build and create a self-reliant nation,” he said.
He added that Apostle Safo’s legacy is a “solemn promise that with determination and belief in ourselves, we can and will chart our own path to prosperity.” Hon. Agyapong concluded his tribute by praying that the late innovator’s revolutionary spirit continues to guide the nation.
