The Kokrobite Health Centre has officially commenced festivities for its landmark 25th anniversary in a launch ceremony held at the facility’s OPD session. The event was graced by the presence of unit heads, who joined the dedicated staff and clients to mark the beginning of the celebrations.
The ceremony served to unveil an exciting and comprehensive month-long programme of activities designed to give back to the community and celebrate a quarter-century of dedicated service. The planning committee presented the detailed schedule to the attendees.
In his address, the Head of Facility, Mr. Jerry Nunno, acknowledged the support of the unit heads, and admonished all staff members to actively participate and support the upcoming events. He indicated that this milestone was a celebration of their collective achievement and commitment to promoting health and healthy living in the Kokrobite community.
Anniversary
The anniversary, being held under the theme “Celebrating 25 Years of Promoting Health and Healthy Living,” will run from October 3 to November 2, 2025.
The launched programme of activities promises something for everyone, featuring a blend of community health outreach, environmental care, and celebratory events. The festivities will commence on Friday, October 3, 2025, with a Health Walk, after which the first of several Health Screening and Outreach sessions will take place at Tuba Junction. The outreach will continue on October 9 at Tuba Roundabout and on October 16 at Kokrobite Pentecost, ensuring that more members of the community gain access to vital health services.
As part of the programme, a clean-up exercise will be held on October 24, reflecting the Centre’s commitment to promoting a healthy and sustainable environment. The celebrations will further feature a Dinner and Awards Night on October 25, dedicated to honouring hardworking staff and loyal partners who have contributed to the Centre’s growth and service delivery. On Saturday, November 1, a Grand Durbar and Fundraising event will be held, bringing together the community and stakeholders in a shared spirit of progress. The month-long celebration will conclude with a solemn Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
