The Office of the former President John Agyekum Kufuor has debunked news making rounds in the media space, regarding an invitation of the 80 Members of Parliament of the governing New Patriotic Party who have called on the President to fire his Finance Minister, Mr. Ken Ofori Atta.
In a 3-paragraph letter signed by Mr. Frank Agyekum, an aide to the former president, he stated categorically that he had not issued any such invitation and does not intend to do so in the near future.
In view of the above, the office of the former president advised the general public to treat the said news with a pinch of salt as it is a figment of the imagination of persons who are behind this “fake” publication.
“The Former President is committed to providing all forms of support services geared towards the success of the Akufo-Addo led administration,” the release assured.
