Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
The flagbearer campaign of Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has intensified with a two-day regional tour of the Western North and Ahafo regions, as the former NPP General Secretary continues his bid to connect directly with the party’s grassroots ahead of the 2026 presidential primaries.
According to news release by the campaign team, the tour, scheduled for
Thursday, December 4, and Friday, December 5, 2025, forms part of Ing. Agyepong’s broader strategy to re-engage the base of the New Patriotic Party in what his team describes as a return to the party’s core values of service, sacrifice, and selflessness.
Ing. Agyepong’s engagements begin tomorrow morning in Juaboso, where he is expected to meet delegates and party stakeholders from Juaboso, Suaman, Aowin, Bia East, Bia West, and Bodi constituencies. The session is anticipated to draw significant attendance from grassroots leaders and coordinators seeking clarity on the direction of his campaign and its implications for the future of the party. Later that afternoon, his team will move to Sefwi Wiawso for a second meeting, bringing together party structures from Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, Sefwi Akontombra, and Sefwi Wiawso.
Back-to-back engagements
On Friday, the campaign moves to the Ahafo Region with a morning engagement in Goaso involving representatives from Asunafo North and Asunafo South. The next stop is Hwidiem for interactions with delegates from Asutifi North, before the tour wraps up with an evening meeting in Bechem, where Tano North and Tano South constituencies will take their turn.
According to the campaign team, the invitation for these meetings extends beyond delegates to include polling station chairpersons, electoral area coordinators, constituency executives—both current and former—the council of elders, patrons, former MPs, MMDCEs, ministers, and deputy ministers. The aim, they say, is to ensure that every layer of the party’s structure is part of the conversation concerning its renewal.
The news release further indicated that Ing. Agyepong’s message on this tour is expected to reinforce his call for a leadership ethos rooted in integrity, humility, and a sincere commitment to the welfare of party foot soldiers.
