
Mael Foundation, a non for profit organization, at the just ended Eid Adha festival partnered with the Muslim Leadership of Ga Central Municipal Assembly to enroll members onto the National Health Insurance Scheme. This was to ensure that members in and around Sowutuom especially Muslim brethren were served with NHIS card freely.
The Head of the Zongo community and the Zongo Chief of Ga Central Chief Yakubu Ayi Awala (also known as Chief Awala) who hosted the two programme admonished the general public to enroll onto the NHIS and call for stakeholders participation to support the membership drive championed by the Greater Accra Regional Office of the NHIA.
Speaking through his Assistant the Dagomba Chief of Sowutuom Naa Yakubu Salifu, the public was called to ensure they live a healthy life and pray for Allah guidance and protection for MAEL Foundation and Management of NHIA and expressed their appreciation for such a mutual partnership at ensure that the needy are provided with free health insurance. He prayed for an enhanced collaboration and call on all Ghanaians especially Moslems to take their health and education seriously.
