The Greater Regional Youth Organiser of the governing NPP, Moses Abor, and the MP for Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency, Dr Dickson Adomako Kissi, have presented some Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and undisclosed amount of cash to members of the party’s Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) chapter in the Pentecost University.
The donation was made when the two, in the company of Greater Accra Regional TESCON Coordinator, Obeng Daniel, and other members of the Regional TESCON Secretariat visited the school last week.
The visit was part of activities, including touring of various tertiary institutions in the region, to engage and rebuild TESCON ahead of the 2024 general election.
Activities
As part of the visit, the team met with Prof Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, Vice-Chancellor of of the University; Rev Paul Danso , Chaplain; Engr Charles Narh Tetteh and Mr Kofi Gyimah, Patron of the Pentecost University TESCON to brief them on their visit.
The regional youth organiser and his team, after the meeting with the management of the university, met with the leadership and members of the group. He explained to them that they were “engaging all stakeholders in reshaping TESCON to break the 8”.
He encouraged members of the group to work hard for the party to maintain power in 2024 since the task ahead is huge.
Addressing some challenges put before him by members of the group, Mr Abor assured them of his secretariat’s readiness to help resolve them as soon as possible.
Dr Dickson Adomako Kissi also encouraged the TESCON leadership to make the group more visible by organising programmes to engage their members as well as putting measures in place to rebrand the association.
“Let’s adhere to the Covid-19 protocols because Covid-19 is real. Always do well to put on your mask as students and set example so that others can emulate from,” Dr Adomako Kissi advised the students.
