The newly-elected executives of the New Patriotic Party NPP last Tuesday called on the Vice-President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, at the Jubilee House to officially introduce themselves.
The team, which was led Stephen Ayesu Ntim and Justin Frimpong Kodua, National Chairman and General Secretary respectively, assured the Vice-President that they are poised to deliver on their mandate as captains of the NPP.
“We are resolute in our minds and determined to work assiduously to ensure that the dreaded 8-year cycle is broken. We shall unite the party, bring everyone on board and, in unison, work harder to win the next elections,” the National Chairman assured.
Mr Ntim called on the delegates and other party sympathisers to reunite to forge ahead for the victory of the party in the 2024 elections.
He added that he and his team would make the party attractive enough for all foot soldiers to want to get on board.
‘Breaking the 8’
Vice-President Bawumia reiterated the need for the present and past executives to work together as that is key in making sure the NPP wins power in 2024.
He assured the national executives of his commitment from within government to ensure that the eight-year governance jinx is broken.
“As a government, we have put in place measures which will soon yield fruits to help mitigate the sufferings of the people. That, we believe, can best act as the oil needed to break the 8,” Dr. Bawumia emphasised.
Present at the meeting were the First Vice Chairman, Danquah Smith Buttey; Second Vice Chairman, Rita Asobayire; Third Vice Chairman, Alhaji Masawudu Osman; and National Organiser, Nana Boakye aka Nana B.
Others were the National Women Organiser, Kate Gyamfua; National Treasurer, Dr Charles Dwamena; National Youth Organiser, Salam Mustapha and National Nasara Coordinator, Aziz Haruna Futah.
