Nneka Youth Foundation to hold Xmas party on Dec 26.
Nneka Youth Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that prioritises the welfare of deprived and undeserved communities, is set to hold a Christmas party on Monday, December 26, 2022.
In an exclusive chat with the Daily Statesman, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Cecilia Fiaka, explained that the Nneka Christmas Party seeks to foster a communal identity of celebrating and consolidating gains during the yuletide.
She further indicated that the initiative has become an integral part of the Nneka Youth Foundation and over 1,500 Children are reached yearly in one of the districts the Foundation chooses.
Fiaka recounted that since 2012, the Foundation had organized 14 Christmas Parties to put smiles on the faces of children; an event that has always been characterized by fun, excitement, fraternization and sometimes interactions with sponsors.
“Nneka Christmas Party, over the past 10 years, saw thousands of beneficiaries from the regions we work feted, fed, gifted with clothes, school inputs, and greatly entertained. This celebration has always been made possible through support from various individuals and organizations,” she noted.
To commemorate the NNEKA@10 anniversary, this year’s celebration will take place at the Nneka Youth Development Centre, Ve-Agbome in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region of Ghana. It would start @ 8 am throughout the day.
