The Osu Stool Council has offered unflinching support for Nii Nortey Adumuah, also known as Osiahene IV, following his nomination as the traditional representative for the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly (KKMA). The council’s endorsement comes amidst allegations of opposition from certain quarters, which the council has dismissed as baseless.
In a statement, the Osu Stool Council said Nii Nortey Adumuah had been an exemplary leader and a champion of development and culture in the Osu traditional area. According to the Council, his companies had provided employment opportunities for youth and equipped them with valuable skills. Additionally, he has invested in startup businesses across the Osu state, demonstrating his commitment to the community’s growth and prosperity.
The council also highlighted Nii Osiahene’s contributions to education, having served on the educational subcommittee and implemented various academic projects over the past three years. His experience and foresight make him an ideal representative for the Osu traditional area at the municipal assembly.
The Osu Stool Council’s statement further clarified that Nii Nortey Adumuah was an integral member of the Osu Amantra/Kinkanwe Dzaase and enjoyed the full support of the council and his clan, the Adjuwate clan of Osu. The council rejected the nomination of alternative candidates, citing their lack of traditional authority and legitimacy.
In a related development, the Osu Kinka We Dzaase had previously suspended Nii Nortey Adumuah indefinitely, along with two others, for allegedly conspiring to install an imposter as Osu Mantse ¹. However, the Osu Stool Council’s recent statement appears to have put the matter to rest, reaffirming Nii Osiahene’s position and nomination.
