Team Blaze Foundation

Team Blaze Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) aimed at helping the less- privileged in the society, over the weekend marked one- year anniversary of its social intervention project, christened, “Feed a Thousand”.
The project, which is 6th in line since the organisation was established in 2018, is aimed at providing food, assorted drinks, water and nutritional supplements to needy individuals and persons with disabilities on Accra High streets. The Foundation also organises Christmas parties for children in selected regions across the country.
Speaking exclusively with the Daily Statesman, the Founder and Leader of the Foundation, Seth Adu-Mensah, said the Foundation is proud to have touched lives with this project undertaken over the past one year.
On the journey so far, he said the positive results on the communities had made the Foundation more determined and committed to pursuing more CSR projects in the coming year to support social and economic development of the communities in its operational areas.
Mr Adu-Mensah deemed it fulfilling to support the less-privileged with projects which will improve “people’s access to quality food and health”.
“We are Ghanaians, Africans, black people, and we are not that rich like other nations. I know some people on our streets find it very hard to eat and drink so it’s my passion to come to the streets to the less privileged areas to share my little with those who don’t have food and money for sustenance,” he stated.
Giving back to society
He further noted that the project aims at reminding the public that giving back brings joy to all involved. “It is important to come together to spread kindness to where it is needed most; that’s the core premise behind ‘Feed a Thousand’ project,” he stressed
“Though the Foundation is only a year old, it has chalked tremendous successes in promoting health in Ghana, and we remain committed to giving back to our communities in the coming years of Team Blaze’s operations in Ghana,” he indicated.
He further thanked God for the milestone, and claimed that his group is fast becoming one of the most significant humanitarian organisations in Ghana.
“Hundreds of lives have been impacted, and the transformative agenda in the communities we have visited as a group is self-evident. With charity as the main pillar of the Foundation, I pledge to support a variety of projects aimed at alleviating the suffering of the poor,” he said.
Mr Adu-Mensah stressed the need for increased support for the less fortunate in the society, saying “this is the time for all men of goodwill to energize themselves and stretch forth a hand to help the poor and the needy”.
He also called for teamwork, discipline and appreciation for the efforts made and results achieved by staff, and challenged the staff and the Foundation’s partners to work together in unity focused on delivering Team Blaze’s agenda.
