The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has handed over a 65-seater bus to Techiman Senior High School to ease the transportation burden of the school.
The presentation followed a request made by students during his last visit to the school a few months ago.
Making the presentation, Mr. Adjei-Mensah Korsah entreated the students to take their studies seriously, and focus on their future, assuring them of his continued support towards their welfare.
He also assured them of his continuous support to the school, and urged them to take good care of the bus by maintaining it well.
The P.T.A Chairman for the school, Mr. Amano Kyeremeh, who received the keys on behalf of the school, thanked the MP for facilitating and lobbying for the school to have the bus.
He assured the MP that they would constitute a board to supervise the movement of the bus to ensure its proper maintenance.
The MCE for Techiman, Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, who was at the event, thanked the MP for his contributions towards the development of education in the municipality.
He mentioned some of the MP’s contributions as the institution of Teachers Awards Scheme, through which two teachers have received two cars so far and other items like fridges, laptops, among, others.
The MCE also commended the MP for lobbying for 200 double beds and 400 mattresses for Yeboa Asuama S.H.S at Nsuta, near Techiman, construction of ultra-modern ICT/Library for Ameyaw Cluster of Schools and the renovation of Baptist School in Techiman.
