Volunteers for Victory Network (VVN), a nonprofit organization committed to environmental sustainability, has donated waste bins to selected basic schools across the Greater Accra Region.
This is part of their efforts to support the schools in improving their sanitation infrastructure.
The donation is expected to contribute to the maintenance of clean and hygienic environments within the school premises, promoting a culture of cleanliness and environmental stewardship among students and staff.
Led by Ms. Vera Wiredu, the Founder and Executive Director of the NGO, the initiative aimed to raise awareness about climate change, promote good sanitation practices, and advocate for environmentally friendly policies.
Ms. Vera Wiredu and her team emphasized the importance of protecting the environment and encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly behaviors. They educated pupils on the significance of proper waste management in mitigating the impact of climate change.
Appreciation
Expressing gratitude to the school authorities for their cooperation, Ms. Vera Wiredu underscored the importance of collaboration in safeguarding the environment and instilling the value of good sanitation practices in communities.
She emphasized the need for collective action to address environmental challenges and protect the planet for future generations.
The donation of waste bins by VVN reflects the organization’s commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and supporting initiatives that contribute to the well-being of communities.
Through educational outreach and practical interventions like waste bin donations, VVN continues to make meaningful contributions towards building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for all.
