Enforcement
Speaking to the media after the operation, the police chief superintendent stated that the operation was to help enforce the directives on the mandatory wearing of the nose masks, as part of the preventive measures to reduce the spread of the virus.
He stated that the police had deployed men at various key points in the region to enforce the law and make sure people moving in and out are ‘masked up’.
According to him, the police will ensure that the law deals with persons who fail to obey the wearing of nose mask rule.
Meanwhile, those arrested were sent to the Regional Police headquarters where their caution statements were taken.
