A group, calling itself Anum Asamankese Nkosuo Kuo, has honoured the newly installed Ahenenanahene of Anum Asamankese, Baffour Amoah Kwame Ahintabirim Okomansa Ansong I, for his role in the development in the area. The group also presented the chief with a stool as a sign of its loyalty to his leadership.
Chairman of the group and Tufuhene of Anum Asamankese, Baffour Yaw Larbi I, said the honour was in recognition of the chief’s desire to see to the wellbeing of the people in the area. He said Baffour Amoah, until his installation, was a patron of the group, expressing hope that the dexterity with which he led the group would reflect in his new role as Ahenanahene.
The Tufuhene added that the aim of the association is to help the people of Anum Asamankese through development and other social interventions, and called on residents of the area to register to join the group.
Priorities
Meanwhile, the newly installed Ahenanahene has assured the people that he will be committed to enhancing education in the area.
Speaking to the media, he said his priorities include education, health and human capital development. He assured the people that he would continue to have the development of the area at heart.
He also called for unity among the people in the area. He noted that the world is moving to a point where individuals have to take their destiny into their own hands, and develop their society. He therefore called on residents in the area to join hands with him for the forward movement of the community. He also called on indigenes of the area who have travelled abroad to return home and invest in the development of the area.
