The National Women’s Wing of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched a programme known as “Breaking the eight series with women”.
The programme, which is dubbed, “Digitally Roping In Women To Break The 8” is aimed at bringing on board accomplished women who will be missionaries in spreading the good news of development rolled out by the Akufo-Addo administration.
Speaking during the maiden launch of the programme at the party’s headquarters, a Deputy National Women’s Organiser, Mimi Duah, explained that its part of the process to position the party to break the eight years’ political jinx in the country.
She stressed that “such series will go a long way to convincing the ordinary Ghanaian to appreciate the gains, and be encouraged to vote massively for the NPP in 2024”.
“We are all aware that the NPP government has done tremendously well when it comes to the welfare of women, youth and children in the country. Therefore, under the auspices of the National Women’s Wing, we are duly launching, today the “Breaking The Eight Series With Women”.
“This programme will be live every Sunday at 5pm, concurrently on all official social media platforms of the NPP, the leadership of the party’s National Women’s Wing and possibly all other National officers,” she announced.
Selling achievements
For each programme, Ms Duah disclosed that the party will be inviting on set, prominent women and heads of state institutions to share the successesful achievements of the NPP government, especially those that concern women.
According to her, they will also provide in-depth explanation of what Ghanaian women must remember before voting in 2024.
She emphasised that it is only the NPP that can build a sustainable future for the women and children of Ghana.
“Since the revamping of our Railway sector, under the NPP Government led by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Eastern line is currently used to conveniently transport passengers and farm produce by female traders to the various markets within the country,” she revealed.
This, she indicated, covers a distance of 300km from Accra to Kumasi with a branch line from Accra- Tema, a 20km Accra- Tema line and a 40km Accra- Nsawam and other lines within and across the country.
Ms Duah therefore stressed the need for all developments to be well communicated and explained to Ghanaians, especially women on the numerous positive strides the NPP government is making to better the lives of the entire citizenry.
