Some chiefs and people of the three Akyem states have served notice to hit the streets tomorrow against the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, John Mahama, over his ‘Akyem Sakawa’ comment.
The demonstration, which will be led by chiefs from Akyem Abuakwa, Akyem Bosome and Akyem Kotoku, will begin from the Asamankese lorry station through some principal communities in the area.
A statement signed by Archibald Ntiri-Acquah and Nana Ampem Darko-Amponsah, conveners of the Concerned Citizens of Akyem Abuakwa, Kotoku and Bosome, said the protest is “against bigotry comments made against the chiefs and people of Akyem Abuakwa, Bosome and Kotoku by the flagbearer and leader of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama.”
