Some 93 persons are contesting for 33 parliamentary seats in the Eastern Region in tomorrow’s general election.
The number include 81 males and 12 females.
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have candidates in all 33 constituencies.
The Ghana Union Movement (GUM) follows with 11 candidates while the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) have three candidates each.
The Progressive People’s Party (PPP), the People’s National Convention (PNC) and the National Democratic Party (NDP) have one candidates each in the region.
Statistics
Some 1,641,050 are expected to cast their vote in the region in over 3000 polling stations in the region.
The region comes third as the region with the highest number of registered voters.
