
Alan submits nomination forms

A former Minister of Trade and Industry and flagbearer hopeful of the NPP, Alan Kyerematen, yesterday submitted his completed nomination forms to the party’s Director of Elections, Evans Nimako.
The submission of the forms makes Mr Kyerematen the first among the 10 aspirants who have so far picked forms to contest the party’s presidential primaries.
A former Member of Parliament for Lambussie in the Upper West Region, Bright Bakye Yelviel Baligi, who was among supporters who thronged the party office, in introducing Alan said, “My colleague MPs and l have the privilege to be part of this historic occasion.”
“On behalf of my colleagues and my own behalf, I present to you the incoming President of Ghana, the man of action and integrity, the unifier, the man to rescue, rebuild, restore and reward the party, the man of vision, Mr. Industry, Hon Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen,” he stated.
Mr Kyerematen indicated that it was with gratitude that he was submitting his nomination forms “duly completed to contest the flagbearer slot of our great party…It would be an honour and privilege to lead this great party to a historic victory in December 2024 and usher Ghana into a new era of stability, growth and prosperity”.

In a bid to finance his presidential ambition, Mr Kyerematen has officially launched a donation platform aimed at facilitating contributions, through crowd funding, to enable him secure victory in the upcoming presidential primaries.
The platform, ‘Partnership for Power’, provides individuals from all walks of life, and organizations with an accessible and transparent avenue to contribute funds towards his ambition.
During the launch at the Accra International Conference Centre, he emphasized the importance of collective efforts in driving positive change and the need for a reliable platform to channel donations effectively.
He stated that the innovative platform is designed to harness the goodwill and generosity of Ghanaians who believe in him and his ability to transform Ghana.
Mr Kyerematen expressed his gratitude to all his supporters, private sector operators, non-governmental organizations and individuals, who graced the launch and have already pledged their support to ensure his presidential ambition comes to fruition.
He reiterated his promise to identify and implement impactful projects nationwide when his bid to become president of Ghana eventually becomes a reality.
Job creation
Meanwhile, Michael Osei Boateng Pope, National Coordinator for Youth Caucus for Alan (YCA), who accompanied Mr Kyerematen, said the young people of Ghana are with the NPP flagbearer hopeful because they believe his vision of transforming the economy through industrialisation is the best way of creating opportunities and sustainable jobs and incomes.
“We have hope in Alan Kyerematen to turn things around for the better. His record as a Minister for Trade and Industry shows that we can trust him to create jobs for the youth.
“He was involved in Millennium Challenge Account, PSIs, 1D1F, Automotive Industry, ENABLE Youth and Master Card YouStart. With Alan Kyerematen, we know we have a leader who thinks about youth and involves youth. We urge all youthful delegates to vote for him and campaign for him to be President of Ghana,” he added.
