The Electoral Commission (EC), ahead of the presidential and parliamentary elections on Monday, December 7, has set-up a Call Centre to enable voters to relay their concerns and feedback on the election day.
The Commission, in a statement, said that would help provide prompt responses to voters so as to improve the voting experiences.
It indicated that its trained staff will manage the facility with a Toll-Free number 0800-100-100.
“Callers will not be charged for calls made to the Toll-Free Number and could call using any network. The Call Centre will be in operation from 6am to 6pm,” it said.
The EC has released the final voters register for the elections.
Voter details
Meanwhile, in a separate press release, the Commission announced that the register is available for free in three electronic formats for registered voters to seamlessly check their details ahead of the elections.
The three formats include the Commission’s website- https://registers.ec.gov.gh, USSD code – *711*2020#, which can be used on any mobile phone, and the EC mobile application.
“To access their details, registered voters should visit the website https://registers.ec.gov.gh and enter their 10-digit Voter ID card number,” it explained.
Also, “to access their details, registered voters need to dial *711*2020# on any phone and network, enter their Voter ID card number and the Polling Station Code where they registered. This information is available on the voter’s voter card.
“Registered voters can also check their details through the EC Android Application – Ghana EC Voters Information Hub – that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store,” the press release stated.
According to the Commission, the usage of this mobile application is similar to the USSD but allows voters to scan the QR Code on their Voter ID Card to retrieve their details.
The Electoral Commission encouraged all electorate to use any of the options provided in verifying their voter registration for the upcoming election.
