The Ministry of Education has presented 20 HP laptops to the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College at a ceremony in Accra. The laptop presentation fulfills a promise made by the Education Minister in January during his visit to the College as part of his official tour of educational institutions in the country.
In his welcome address, Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum expressed hope that the presentation would significantly contribute to the training and operations of the College. He highlighted efforts to ensure that funds from taxpayers are effectively utilized for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
Commitment
The Education Minister also showcased videos and pictures of projects and developments in the nation’s education sector. Dr. Adutwum reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to partnering with all stakeholders to promote the country’s development through education.
He said the Ministry was implementing unique initiatives in the education sector and seeking partnerships to drive the transformation of the country through education.
Brigadier General Barima Brako Owusu, representing the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, commended the Education Minister for the support, which had been a challenge in the past.
He pledged to make optimal use of the laptops, emphasising the timeliness of the donation.
The Brigadier General acknowledged that the videos and pictures presented dispelled any doubts he had about education development in the country. He praised the Minister for his exemplary work in the sector.
