Fixing the Country Movement has officially announced a change in the date for their upcoming demonstration and picketing at the former president’s office, known as the #ChaseJMKronoAirbus Demonstration.
Originally scheduled for the 16th of November, 2023, the event will now take place on Thursday, the 23rd of November, 2023.
The decision to reschedule comes in light of the funeral ceremony for the late Mrs. Theresa Aba Kufour, the former first lady, which coincides with the initial date of the demonstration.
Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, Convener of Fixing the Country Movement, in the statement, expressed its desire to participate in the funeral ceremony and extend condolences to the Kufour family on the 16th of November.
Fixing the Country Movement emphasised that the new date has been coordinated and approved in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service. The organizers extended gratitude to the authorities for their cooperation in facilitating the rescheduling.
The Convener of the group also reassured supporters and the general public, urging them to remain prepared and committed to participating in the demonstration on the revised date.
