The Chief Executive Officer of GloTex Company Limited, a company that deals in the import of drinks from several countries, Gloria Owusu, has urged Ghanaians to engage in philanthropy.
She admonished, particularly, girls and women to strive to showcase deeds that will leave a legacy even when they are gone.
“Let’s be inspirational leaders filled with passion to lead, loving people, caring, friendly, proud, kind hearted, accommodating and God-fearing leaders,” she said in a statement.
“As a popular saying goes, ‘some are born great, some achieve greatness’…Today is uniquely and wonderfully given us to not just celebrate with me but learn and imitate certain qualities, which I believe I embody. You’re all great leaders whose hallmark will always be to lead people to success, regardless of the challenges,” she urged.
Madam Owusu further implored the public to make active efforts to promote human welfare in the society.
“You’re all naturally born and true philanthropic. Let’s try and help one another in our respective communities, and the country as a whole. On the occasion of my birthday, I pray God continues to enlarge your coast, God will take over every impossible issue in your lives,” she said.
GloTex Company Limited has other subsidiary companies like the Glo Water Company Limited as well as Glo Trading and Logistics.
The CEO hopes that her pure water company, Glo Water, becomes one of the leading water products on the market in the not so distant future.
As part of her philanthropic works, she fed over 8,000 street children and adults during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Aside that, she has also extended her charitable lifestyle by contributing immensely to the development of the Nsawam Female Prison.
