The Member of Parliament for Gushegu Constituency in the Northern Region, Alhaji Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli, has pledged to construct a befitting palace for the Kpatinga Traditional area.
He hinted that contract had been awarded to a contractor and work would commence very soon.
According to the Gushegu MP, the construction of an ultra-modern palace for the chief of Kpatinga, Naa Bapri Kpantinglana, will not only befit the Kpatinga paramountcy status but will go a long way to consolidate the peace in the area.
Again, he said, a befitting traditional palace will attract tourism in the area.
Alhaji Alhassan Tampuli made this announcement during a courtesy call on the newly enskinned Kpatinglana at his palace in Kpatinga on Sunday.
The visit was to congratulate the chief on his elevation to the Kpatnga skin.
Dispute
The Kpatinga skin earlier had been in dispute following a feud between two rival factions to the skin, which led to some disturbances in the area.
The Gushegu MP gave thanks and praises to the Almighty Allah for bringing peace to the area.
He again thanked the chiefs and people of Kpatinga as well as all stakeholders who contributed immensely towards the restoration of peace in the area.
Mr Tampuli called on the people of Kpantinga and its environs to put their differences behind them and forge ahead for development in the area.
He urged the people to support the newly enskinned chief to bring about the needed peace and development to the area.
Mr Tampuli reiterated his commitment towards the development of the entire Gushegu constituency, saying that as the servant and messenger of the people he would work very hard to bring development to the people.
He also donated a brand-new Apsonic motorbike to the palace messengers to enhance and facilitate their movement during errand.

The chief of Kpatinga, Naa Bapri kpatinglana, for his part, thanked the MP and his entourage for the visit, and assured them of his unflinching support in bringing development to the area.
He also thanked the people of Kpatinga for the warm reception and respect accorded him since his enskinment as the Kpatinglana by the Ya Naa.
He admonished the people to bury all their differences and embrace oneness and togetherness for peaceful coexistence.
