The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Kwetey, has denied reports suggesting that he issued a statement defending former President John Dramani Mahama against allegations of being a drunkard.
In a Facebook post, Kwetey clarified, “Please be informed that I have not authored any press release concerning statements allegedly made by Hon. Atta Akyea about H.E. John Mahama. Kindly disregard all news articles referencing the fake press release purportedly from my outfit. Thank you.”
The NDC General Secretary’s statement comes amidst circulating rumors and news articles referencing a purported press release from his office, which he categorically denies authoring. Kwetey urged the public and media outlets to disregard these false reports.
