The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed a new set of persons to serve as deputies to its newly elected national executives.
Fresh directors have also been appointed to support with the running of affairs of the party.
The appointments were announced in press statement released by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, “pursuant to Articles 10 and 15 of the NPP Constitution.”
The appointees include two Deputy General Secretaries, Dr. Antoinette Tsibu-Darko and Haruna Mohammed. Deputy National Organizers are Joseph Nganiba Kwayaja and Chris Lloyd Nii Kwei
Saila Mohammed and Miriam Awurama Duah have been appointed as Deputy National Women Organisers. The Deputy National Youth Organisers are Isaac Jay Nii Amahtey Hyde and Sandra Sarkodie-Addo, whilst the Deputy National Nasara Coordinators are Abdul Taric Bonsu and Hajia Ayesha Yussif
Rightful appointments
According to the press statement, the National Executive Committee (NEC) appointed the following persons to serve as directors of the party at the national secretariat in accordance with Article 10(7)(3) of the Party Constitution.
They are Director of Campaign Strategy, Dan Botwe; Director of Finance and Administration, William Yamoah; Directorate of Research And Elections, Evans Nimako; Dr. Ernest Owusu Kumih (Director of Research) and Dr. Nyame Baafi (Deputy Director of Research).
Mr Richard Ahiagbah has also been appointed as Director of Communications. His deputies are Mr Ernest Owusu Bempah, Mr. Kamal Deen Abdulai, Mrs Rabi Salifu, Miss Jennifer Ofori Appiah, George Krobea Asante and Dr. Asiedu Kokro.
Mr Kodua Frimpong further named appointees in the Directorate for External Affairs. They are Mr Frederick Kofi Ameyaw (Director), Nana Asafo-Adjei Ayeh (Deputy) and Portia Adwoa Siaw (Deputy).
Directorate of Protocol has Kwodwo Afari (Director) and Kwabena Ofori Frimpong (Deputy), whilst the Directorate of Information Technology (I.T) has Mr Eric Ntori as Director and Mr Stephen Forson, Deputy Director.
The NPP Scribe congratulated the appointees, and implored them to effectively discharge their mandate to help the party win the 2024 general elections.
