The Director of Finance and Administration for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), William Yamoah, has called on Ghanaians to support Vice-President President Mahamudu Bawumia’s innovative approach to politics.
In a statement, Mr. Yamoah emphasised the need to shift from traditional politics to one focused on issues, innovation and bold ideas that can drive socio-economic development, and strengthen democracy.
“We stand at a crossroads as a country—a critical moment where the choices we make come December 7, 2024 will undoubtedly shape the future of our democracy, our country’s economic development, and our people’s prosperity,” Yamoah stated.
Reject politics of insults
He urged the citizens to reject politics of insults and division, advocating politics that addresses real issues affecting daily lives, such as quality education, affordable healthcare and job creation.
He highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s achievements, including the introduction of drone delivery services to enhance healthcare access in remote areas. He stressed that affordable, accessible healthcare was a right, not a privilege, and praised Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to expanding healthcare services.
On economic development, Mr Yamoah noted Dr. Bawumia’s vision for investing in future industries like green energy, technology and manufacturing to create sustainable, well-paying jobs. He called for innovative solutions that challenge the status quo and push the nation forward.
“This is not a campaign about Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. It’s about us. It’s about our shared future,” Yamoah added, urging Ghanaians to embrace politics that champions bold ideas and transformative change.
