In support of the government’s determination to stop the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, members of the 1994 year group of the Assin Manso Senior High School have constructed a new borehole and renovated an existing mechanised one for the school.
Additionally, the old students of the school presented four hospital ward screens, drip stands, bedside cabinets, medical trolley, pulse oximeter, gallons of liquid soaps, boxes of tissues papers and hundreds of face shields to enable the school prevent coronavirus on the campus.
Making life better
Presenting the water facility and the PPEs on behalf of the group over the weekend, Miss Doris Dansowaah and Stephen Kankam said the motivation is to make life better for the students in the era of pandemic.
They emphasised that, in challenging times like these, help must come from individuals and groups to augment government efforts.
The old students assured the authorities and students of the school that their year group will continue to identify pressing needs of the school for prompt attention.
“We want to encourage you, management and students alike, to maintain the facility to the best of your abilities to be able to serve the purpose for which it being provided,” they appealed.
The headmaster of the school, Mr Eric Nyarko, the chairman of the PTA, Appiah Kubi, the circuit supervisor of Abura-Dunkwa, Nana Boafo, who received the donations on behalf of staff and students, assured the group that care and maintenance machinery will be put in place to improve health and academic fortunes of the school.
“We are forever grateful for contributing your quota for the development of this school,” the headmaster said.
