The Anti-Robbery Squad and the Eastern Regional Police Command are pursuing robbery suspects who attacked some commuters along the Bonsu-Brimso-Apedwa stretch in the Eastern Region.

The Police, in a brief statement, urged the local community to provide them with any information that could help arrest the culprits.

According to reports, police officers have been deployed along that stretch to assist the public and the local communities.

The Police have assured the general public that these suspects will be brought to face justice

Ejisu stabbing incidents

Meanwhile, fear has gripped hundreds of students of the Ejisu Senior High and Technical School (SHTS) following the stabbing of three students within a spate of one week.

According to reports, three students of the school were stabbed in three separate incidents last Monday and Tuesday.

On Monday January 23, 2022, an 18-year-old form two student was stabbed close to his spine with a pair of scissors when he resisted attempts by four of his colleagues to snatch his phone.

One of them, who police say admitted to the crime, is in police custody.

Additionally, on Tuesday evening, some youth from the Ejisu township attacked and stabbed another student of the school in an alleged fight over girls. That same evening, another student of the school was stabbed in the head by students in a fight on campus.

The students blame recent developments on the incomplete wall around the school, according to reports.

Meanwhile, the Ejisu District Police Commander, Supt. Fred Lumor, has disclosed that three people have been arrested in connection with all the cases as investigations continue.

The Ejisu Municipal Security Council was expected to visit the school yesterday.

The Head of Municipal Security Council, Samuel Oduro Frimpong, said “I’ve told the Assembly officers and the headmistress that, today, we shall all go there and look at how best we can do the fencing to ensure that we secure a win-win situation.”
