Dr. Solomon Boateng
An aspiring parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Madina constituency, Dr. Solomon A. Boateng, has expressed his determination to work tirelessly to recapture the seat for the governing party.
In an exclusive chat with the Daily Statesman, Dr Solomon Boateng said, to attain that goal, he is bringing into the space ingredients of sterling leadership and experience, as he also words at uniting the party at the constituency level.
Dr. Boateng, who is also the Secretary of the NPP-US, New Jersey Chapter, promised to rebuild the constituency by helping to create jobs for the youth, through the provision of vocational training. That, he indicated, would help equip the youth with skills to compete in the 21st century world.
He pledged to develop strategies to help mobilise members to win back the seat as well as help break the eight years’ governance cycle.
Retaining power
He also stressed that the party’s determination to retain power in 2024, and break the eight-year governance cycle, could be realised, if members remained united.
“I believe if we’re united, we shall break the eight. Our success will depend on how we conduct ourselves, especially at the constituency level. The party is not built on self-interest. Let’s eschew it, bury our differences, and bring on board everyone because we need all hands on deck to achieve that agenda,” he stated.
He, therefore, called on party delegates in the constituency and all party sympathisers to rally behind his candidature.
“Delegates should give the nod to me, for me to become the MP in the Madina constituency in the upcoming polls to position to lead in changing the face of the constituency, and rebuild it as an NPP seat,” he said.
