Techimantia Xmas Festival Inter Community Football Competition 2022
An annual community based tournament for the youth, Techimantia Xmas Festival Inter Community Football gala, is aimed at bringing community and the youth together to promote peace and unity among the people of Techimantia.
The event is mostly organised by Blaze Empire and Team Blaze Foundation, non-governmental organisations concerned with youthful and business development.
This year’s event is under the theme “Bringing The Youth and Community together through Sports and Entertainment”. It would take place on Saturday December 24, 2022 and end on Sunday December 25, 2022.
Touching on the event, the Executive Director of the Foundations, Seth Adu-Mensah, explained that every community presents one team who would participate in the football competition.
He pointed out that “in all, about 10 communities are expected to participate”. He said at the end of the game, the communities that clinched the first to fourth positions, would be given prizes such as cash, trophy, medals, jerseys, football among others.
Mr Adu-Mensah stressed that he will use this event in illustrating football’s unrivalled ability to bring people together that will run throughout the Techimantia community and its environs.
“Football brings people together like nothing else and the Techimantia gala will be a celebration of that unity and passion for the game we love so much,” he added.
