There is a name in our body politic that has become a delight to associate with, by those who yearn to be connoisseurs of modern politics, but a nightmare to the ignorant and the political foe.

The name is no other than Bawumia, and admirers love to call the personality behind the name the “Digital Man”. The name Bawumia is a model of integrity, respect, humility and creativity, and offers inspiration to both the youth and the elderly.

The mere mention of the name Bawumia sends shivers down the spines of the entire opposition NDC fraternity. Indeed, the name has become a huge project for the opposition NDC which they strive on daily basis to execute but to no avail.

Discerning

Discerning political observers strongly believe the name Bawumia symbolizes hope to every industrious individual yearning to attain social prominence and to make life more meaningful.

Talk about humility, respect, integrity and creativity, and the name Bawumia would be written in letters of gold. In unity, the name is never found wanting. The name knows no discrimination religiously, tribally and socially which has been an envy of many a politician, especially those who deem the name Bawumia to be a political force.

The name Bawumia is synonymous with decency, poised to completely eliminate corruption from our system of governance through digitalization, the system in which utility bills and other government income generation sectors would be devoid of physical cash payment.

Our ports of entry and departure where corrupt government employees subject the travelling public and shippers to illegal payments would be a thing of the past through the untiring efforts of the name Bawumia. No wonder, therefore, that those who delight in corruption hate the name Bawumia and those who embrace the name Bawumia are haters of corruption.

Innovation

The high sense of innovation and creativity and the ability to make it practical makes the name Bawumia an envy of fellow party and opposing party contestants. The name Bawumia is talented to take “Mother Ghana” to the level where the nation would be able to compete with the international community through digitalization.

In Ghana, the Christian and the Muslim communities have enjoyed peaceful co-existence for decades, if not centuries, unlike other countries where Christians and Moslems are always at loggerheads, yet community observers believe the name Bawumia, unequivocally, further strengthens and foster perfect unity among the two ethnic groups.

The name Bawumia unconditionally associates with the under-privileged in society, celebrates, dine and mourns with them. Say the name Bawumia represents social justice, tribal and religious cohesion and you would not be far from right.

Through patriotism and hard work, the name Bawumia leaves political foes wandering desperately to drag the name into the mud to make it politically unattractive, yet popularity overwhelms it. The name Bawumia has withstood the test of time. In the face of extreme provocations, character assassinations, insults, and speech distortions, calmness has always been the hallmark of Bawumia.

No exaggeration

One does not exaggerate to say the name Bawumia is mature for political leadership, considering the achievements the name has chalked in the office of a vice President. The rejection of the name Bawumia in the impending New Patriot Party {NPP} flagbearer election for any other would automatically result in the reversal of Ghana’s efforts to economic recovery and that would be a huge disservice to the nation.

Also, Ghana’s hope of becoming a digitalized economy would be dashed. Modernization falls short in our body politics without the name Bawumia, therefore the ultimate gift the New Patriot Party (NPP) delegates could offer the party and Ghanaians in general is to elect Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for a flagbearer on 4th November, 2023.
