The Savannah Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party, led by the their chairman, Prof Kalamonia, have commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for appointing two distinguished persons of the region to serve in his next government.
The two are Samuel Abu Jinapo, Minister-designate for Lands and Natural Resources, and Saeed Muhazu, who has been appointed as the Minister-designate for the Savannah Region.
According to a release signed by the communications director of the NPP in the region, Mohammed Issah, on behalf of the party, the President made a good choice by appointing the two.
“We send our deepest appreciation to Mr President for this honour done us. This is the beginning of a new era and we anticipate a cordial relationship as always as exhibited in the immediate past administration that led to the sterling success across the region,” the release added.
Northern region
In a related development, the Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr Mohammed Adam Bantimah Samba, has congratulated the President for considering the region in his next administration.
“The Northern Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party salutes His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for recognizing the immense contribution and support of the Northern Region and accordingly appointing three individuals from the region to serve in government,” he said in a release.
The three nominees from the region are Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, Minister-designate for Tourism, Arts and Culture; Dominic Nitiwul, Mminister-designate for Defence; and Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu, Northern Regional Minister-designate.
“These appointments demonstrate the confidence the President has in the region and particularly the nominees. The party promises to work hand in hand with the government and further assure the ministers-designate of our full and unwavering support,” the statement said.
