The Western Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Takoradi, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, has donated a brand new ‘pick-up’ vehicle to the regional party office for campaign activities.
According to Justice Acquah, Second Vice-Chairman of Takoradi Constituency of NPP, who donated the vehicle on behalf of the Minister, it is his widow’s mite towards the party’s campaign.
He said the donation is to help the Western Regional branch of the party in in its efforts at bagging the targeted votes in the forthcoming general elections.
The New Patriotic Party currently has 13 out of the 17 parliamentary seats in the Western Region. The party is however targeting 15 in this year’s election.
At a brief ceremony on Tuesday September 22, where the vehicle was presented to Francis Ndede Siah, the regional party chairman, Justice Acquah said the Regional Minister strongly believes that with hard work, commitment and logistics, this target will easily be achieved.
Chairman Ndede Siah thanked the Regional Minister for his kind gesture, and assured him that the vehicle would be handed over to the regional communications team for effective use. He however appealed to all party members to bury their differences, unite and play effective roles in winning landslide victory for NPP, come December 7.
