President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday met Ghanaian athletes for this year’s Olympics, and encouraged them to do their best to lift high the flag of Ghana during the games.
According to the President, who received the team at the Jubilee House, even though the games will be very competitive, he has confidence in the Ghanaian athletics and sportsmen, adding “wherever we are in the world, we shine.”
“I have to wish you the very best of luck when you go there. You cannot be better than your best. But, at least, do your best, and I am sure that your best is going to be good enough to bring home a medal or two,” the President told Team Ghana.
He reminded them of the Covid-19 pandemic, and asked them to ensure that they stick to the various protocols whilst out there.
