Bryan Acheampong, Minister of Food and Agriculture

A Deputy Communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante, says the nomination of the MP for Abetifi, Bryan Acheampong, as the new Minister of Food and Agriculture will transform the fortunes of farmers in the country.

In a congratulatory message, Mr Krobea Asante said the Minister had always been a pillar for many cherished farmers. He stressed that his appointment is a golden opportunity to change the fortunes of our farmers.

He also prayed God’s blessings on Mr Acheampong, saying “It is my fervent prayer that the Almighty God will be your helper in this challenging responsibility bestowed on you”.

“In fact, I have no doubt on my mind about your capabilities as you have always demonstrated strong resilience in all your dealings both in private and corporate life,” he stated.

He expressed confidence that the Minister’s passion for the growth and development of the Ghanaian farmers will be made visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.

“Your predecessor, Hon Dr. Akoto Afriyie did his best for them and this is your time to continue with the NPP government’s enviable record in the Food and Agricultural sector in Ghana,” he added.

The NPP Deputy Communications Director further expressed gratitude to the President for rewarding Bryan’s selfless and dedicated stewardship to Ghana and the NPP.

“This is a great opportunity to continue to serve your party and mother Ghana. Keep making us proud. Once again, Congratulations!!!,” he reiterated
